The St. Gemma Hospital is a project of the Congregation of St. Gemma Galgani Sisters within the Jurisdiction of the Dodoma catholic Diocese.
This medical facility was started in 2004 as a health centre with 72 beds for patients.It was financed by the “Confrenzo Episcopale Italiana” -“CEI”. Presently the St. Gemma Health facility has been upgraded to a status of a District designated Hospital with 106 beds for patients with fully function of maternity ward, theatre, laboratory, Radiology ( ultra sound and ultrasornograph, X-ray and Mamograph ) which is the only department in the region, Dental clinic, general medicine, Dermatology department, RCH ( Reproduction Care Health, Mother and Child ) and CTC ( Care and Treatment Center ).
The Hospital project is a follow up to many years of health care services offered by the Congregation of St. Gemma Sisters in various parts of Tanzania mainland. The St. Gemma sisters (Diocesan) are the managers and main share of love of for God through giving medical services to the majotity of the people .
